Generac Power Systems Recalls Portable Generators Due to Risk of Serious Injury or Death from Burn and Fire Hazards
This recall involves certain Generac Portable Generators which have an orange/black cover and are encased in a steel-tube cradle. It comes with two wheels on the back for easy transportation. “Generac” and the “unit type” are located on the side panel of the generators. The model and serial number are printed on a label attached to the side of the unit. Consumers will need to have their model and serial number available prior to logging on to https://www.generac.com/about/recalls/GP-Carburetor to determine if their generator is included in the recall. This recall involves Generac Portable Generators type GP15000E, with model numbers G0057341, G0057342, 005734R1, and 005734R2, and type GP17500E, with model numbers G0057351, G0057352, 005735R1, and 005735R2. "Generac" and the unit type are printed on both sides of the tank and on the control panel of the generators. The model number is printed on a label on the heat shield between the engine and alternator of the generator. CPSC Reannounces Recall of Generac Portable Generators; Additional Finger Amputation and Crushing Injury Reported; New Repair Kit Available
This recall involves 6500-watt and 8000-watt Generac portable generators with unit type numbers XT8000E XT8000EFI, GP6500, GP6500E, GP8000E and HomeLink 6500E portable generators, and DR models PRO 6500M and PRO 6500E portable generators. This recall also involves all of these generators listed above purchased after July 29, 2021 through November 3, 2022, containing a repair kit which included full cover handle guards. The generators have gasoline-powered engines that are used to generate electricity for use as backup power. The portable generators have two-wheels and a single, U-shaped, two-grip, flip-up pin-lock handle to help move the generator. Only the following generators are included in this recall. The unit type is identified on the front of the product. The model and serial numbers are printed on a label on the product. Generac Power Systems Inc. Recalls Engines to Replace Fuel Tanks Due to Risk of Fire
The following industrial power equipment products, manufactured by the original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) listed below, are included in this recall: Power Equipment Type OEM/Equipment Seller Pressure Washer Cleaning Systems Specialists, Inc. Phone: (619) 448-8111 Air Compressors Ingersoll-Rand Phone: (800) 820-0308 Pressure Washers Silver Eagle Phone: (936) 264-2215 Saw Mill Wood Mizer Phone: (317) 808-0717 The recalled Generac GTH410 and GTH220 engines were manufactured from July 2001 to July 2005. GTH410 Engines model numbers with defective fuel tanks are: 0041930EHF; 0043290EHF; 0043291; 0045050EHF; 0045281; 0045283; 0046100EHF; 0046150EHF; 0046910EHF; 0046911. GTH220 Engines model numbers with defective fuel tanks are: 0040990EHC; 0043930EHC; 0045300EHC; 0046090EHC; 0046370EHC; 0046380EHC; 0046390EHC; 0046820EHC; 0047640EHC; 0048820; 0050650; 0051170. The engine model number is located on the side of the motor and contained on a small sticker above the Generac nameplate. The top number on the small sticker is the model number (e.g., 220 or 410). The larger Generac nameplate contains the Engine Identification Number and Serial Number.
Remedies are free to the owner under US law. Contact the manufacturer or a dealer with the campaign number above.
